Stavroula Otis, known as “Stevie” to friends and family, is a board-certified physician specializing in hematology and oncology and cares for both men and women at Cancer and Blood Care Specialists in Santa Ana, California. Her areas of expertise include breast cancer, prostate cancer, colon cancer, lung cancer, myelomas, lymphomas, bleeding, clotting, and bone marrow disorders.
Dr. Otis received her Bachelor of Science from Caltech in 1999, and went on to get her medical degree from Keck School of Medicine of USC in Los Angeles in 2003. She then moved to Houston to complete her internship and internal medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine. She then returned to California, where she completed her hematology and oncology fellowship at Stanford University in 2010, staying on as clinical faculty until the end of 2012.
Dr. Otis is dedicated to providing personalized and compassionate attention to the patients under her care. She believes that a patient should fully understand their particular condition and treatment plan and she takes the time to explain the details to patients and their families. Dr. Otis strives to make a patient’s experience as meaningful, comfortable, and convenient as possible.
In addition to treating patients at Cancer and Blood Care Specialists, Dr. Otis is affiliated with St. Joseph’s Hospital and acts as the breast cancer conference moderator at the hospital’s Center for Cancer Treatment and Prevention, the first cancer center in Orange County.
